The cars appeared from early June down Longridge Road
Staff at a recycling site near Preston have been told new parking arrangements have been resolved for them.
AdvertisementCars had been parked along Longridge Road opposite the Crematorium, some of them blocking the view when turning in or out of the area.
Employees at nearby Recycling Lives said they had been told to park on the road due to a lack of parking being available at their Longridge Road site.
Lancashire County Council said it was monitoring the parking and Preston Police had also visited the company to warn staff there they could face penalty notices for obstructive parking.
A statement from the firm has confirmed alternative arrangements have now been made.
A spokesman said: “Recycling Lives has grown rapidly in the past year. Due to this recent rapid expansion, there has been significant strain on the parking facilities at our main Recycling Site, which is located just off Longridge Road.
“In response to this significant increased demand, and also to ensure the health and safety of our staff, visitors to our site, and local community, we have now completed a deal for the provision of additional car parking facilities on the nearby Red Scar Industrial Estate
“We have confirmed to our staff that they should use all the parking facilities provided by the company with immediate effect.
“Recycling Lives would like to thank the community for its continued support. It is only with the support of everyone in our community that we can continue to help those who need it most.”
