Preston is due for more short and heavy downpours during the next 24 hours.
AdvertisementThe Met Office has extended its yellow warning of rain for Preston and Lancashire.
It is warning of the risk of localised flooding and disruption to travel.
The first warning is from 12noon to 9pm on Sunday (12 June) where it says ‘some slow-moving, heavy, thundery downpours are again likely to develop across parts of the warning area on Sunday afternoon.’
They say up to 30-40mm of rain could fall within the space of three to four hours.

The yellow weather warning continues into Monday (13 June), where from 12noon to 9pm there is the risk of 15-20mm of rainfall.
Preston’s weather forecast for the rest of the week has temperatures between 16 degrees to 17 degrees, with rain on Wednesday.
