Preston Soup II is a new way to fund projects in the community.

Taking an idea from Detroit, which has spread around the world all, the participants pitch their idea to the audience.

One project can win and they receive the funds from the night, as to get your soup you pay a suggested donation of £5.

The first Preston Soup saw the Walton’s Parade community garden receive the funding on the night.

More than 50 attended the event at the Dice and Donuts cafe.

Preston Soup takes place from 6pm on Wednesday 8 June.
