Some of the damage at the Stoneygate nursery
A play area at a nursery school in Preston has been damaged by cigarette ends.
Preston Police say criminal damage was caused at Stoneygate Nursery in Avenham.
The school has been left with a £1,500 repair bill to repair and replace equipment.
PCSO Stephen Connolly said: “The damage is believed to be caused by youths gaining access to the play area and recklessly discarding cigarettes.
“There have also been previous incidents with roof tiles being removed from the nursery.
Unfortunately there is no CCTV to be released at this time, please remember that these play areas are not for public use and the damage can often upset the children that use it.”
