A man was attacked in the toilets of a Preston club after being involved in an altercation.

Preston Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they wish to speak to after the incident in the Wilbraham Club in Geoffrey Street, Deepdale. It took place around 5pm on Saturday 7 May.

The victim stopped to use the toilets on his way out of the club when he was approached by another man. An argument broke out between the pair.

The men then ended up in the toilets and the victim was punched several times in the face, and kicked in the groin.

PC Peter Darbyshire of Preston Police said: “This was a vicious assault and we are working hard to piece together exactly what occurred.

“We would like to speak to anyone who might have seen the incident, or who has information about what took place. In particular we would like to trace the man seen in CCTV images as he may be able to help with our ongoing enquiries.”

Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 1025 of May 7th 2016.
