A man out enjoying a Bank Holiday pint was attacked by a gang of six women in Deepdale.
AdvertisementPreston Police have launched an appeal to trace a Good Samaritan who stepped in to help the 61-year-old.
The victim had been walking home from the city centre between 11.30pm on Sunday 29 May and 1am on Monday 30 May.
As he walked down Fletcher Road he was approached by a group of six women, who began going through his pockets.
One of the women then jumped onto his back. They made off with £65 in cash and the man’s house keys.

A man then stepped in to offer his help to the victim and made contact with his son.
Detective Constable Hayley Jones said: “The victim had enjoyed a night out on the bank holiday weekend and was making his way home when he was set upon in what appears to be an entirely unprovoked attack.
“We would now urge the good Samaritan who came to the victim’s aid to get in touch, as he may be able to help us with our enquiries.
“Similarly, anyone with information that could help us identify these women is also urged to get in touch.”
