A man has silently pulled his shorts down and touched himself in front of two teenage girls in a Preston park.

Preston Police have launched an appeal to trace the man after he exposed himself around 3.15pm on Monday (6 June).

The girls, aged 16 and 17, were walking their dog along the canal path in Haslam Park.

They noticed a man standing on the path near the entrance to a small tunnel.

As they got closer he did not say anything and touched himself inappropriately.

He is described as white, of muscular build, aged in his late 20s or 30s, approximately 5’10” and has short brown hair.

He was wearing a dark blue running top, dark shorts and sport-style glasses with yellow lenses.

DC Kate Clancy, of Preston CID, said: “This was a particularly unpleasant incident in a park which is used a lot by families and young people.

“The two girls have been left extremely shaken and we want to locate the man as quickly as possible. I would urge anyone with information to come forward.”
