A secondary school in Preston has been forced to close due to flooding.
AdvertisementHeavy rain has swept across the city during Monday morning and fire crews have been sent to tackle the flood water.
Archbishop Temple School in St Vincent’s Road saw firefighters from Fulwood arrive at 10.41am on Monday.
They found flooding in the school’s kitchen and basement, with a foot of water in some places.
No one has been hurt by the flooding, and the water is in the process of being pumped out.

In Deepdale in the early hours of Monday morning a blocked roof drain caused flooding to a first floor flat.
Crews from Preston were called to Curwen Street at 12.21am to clear the drain. No one was hurt.
