A colourful spectacle for Armed Forces Day in Preston
The sun decided to make an appearance to help Preston celebrate Armed Forces Day.
An annual celebration of all things to do with the army, navy and air force it also gives those in the forces a chance to relax.
Organised by Preston City Council’s armed forces champion councillor Drew Gale the event has grown larger each year.
This year’s event saw a music concert performed from the balcony of the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
Former X Factor winner Matt Cardle was among those performing for a cheering crowd.
A remembrance service was held earlier on Saturday (25 June) where Preston’s Mayor councillor John Collins addressed those from the forces and their families, and members of the public, who had gathered to pay tribute.
