Budding models from Preston have been appearing across the city in a new shopping centre campaign.

Tom Craig, 25, from Fulwood and Charika Channutapipat, 28, are two of Prestonians who have been modelling in locations including Avenham Park.

Fishergate Shopping Centre has teamed up with the University of Central Lancashire to give them to chance to show off their summer fashion.

Centre manager Keith Mitchell said: “The Summer in the City campaign created by the students is fantastic with some brilliant locations chosen by the students that really show Preston at its finest.

“This growing link up with the university’s fashion department is a great way to harness and use those ideas and the enthusiasm of the students to help raise the profile of the centre and to enhance our marketing activity.

“The centre gets some real creativity and its online presence is boosted and in return the students on the course get to work in the real world and see first-hand how the retail sector works.”

“The results have been impressive and we look forward to the relationship growing and developing.”
