Tenor Russell Watson has been forced to cancel a show at Preston’s Charter Theatre due to illness.
His management has released a statement saying the show will be rescheduled for later in the year.
The statement says: “It is with deep regret that the performance tomorrow night (18th May) with Russell Watson at The Charter Theatre, Preston has been postponed.
“Due to a virus Russell is not fit enough to perform. He is obviously deeply saddened to let his loyal supporters down and will do everything possible to reschedule the performance later in the tour.
“If you were due to attend the performance please contact The Charter Theatre, Preston on 01772 804444 for further information
“On behalf of Russell and the team we would like to apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope you will join us in wishing Russell as speedy recovery. Thank You”
