Yvonne is one half of an artistic duo nominated for a national prize
A Preston poet and lecturer has seen her work nominated for a national literature prize.
Yvonne Reddick, who works at the University of Central Lancashire, and multimedia artist Diana Zwibach, exhibited their art at the PR1 Gallery in the city.
Yvonne said: “This is great news for culture in Preston and the North West. We’re thrilled to be shortlisted.
“Deerhart celebrates our relationship with nature, but it also recognises that the changes that human beings have made to our environment are irreversible. It’s a real privilege to be recognised for creating art and literature that tackles these issues.”
Deerhart is listed in the best wildcard category at the Saboteur indie literature awards.
The category is open to public voting so Yvonne is hoping to see Prestonians placing their votes via the Saboteur awards website, go to category 12.
