A horse was rescued from a ditch in Penwortham on Friday night.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service deployed two crews from Preston and Penwortham, along with a rope rescue team from St Annes.

The horse had become trapped in the ditch at Gleneagles Drive, close to Crookings Farm, and it took 90 minutes for firefighters to release it at around 6.47pm on Friday (May 6).
