Fishwick home saved after neighbour smelt smoke

Firefighters put out a fire in the hallway of a home in Fishwick on Friday (20 May) night.

Two fire engines from Preston Fire Station were called to the property in Fishwick View at 7.36pm.

They arrived to find a fire in the hallway, which had been smelt by a neighbour who called 999.

The fire was put out and there were no casualties, according to a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.

It is not known at this stage what damage was caused to the house.
