More late nights planned for Blitz
Blitz nightclub has had an application approved for extended opening hours.

Blitz owner Peter Alexander originally faced a licensing battle when an application for the venue to be allowed open until 5.30am was declined last year and the club settled for 4.30am with a number of constraints.

The approval of the latest application to Preston City Council will see the venue able to open until 6am on any night of the week.
Mr Alexander said: “We are very pleased to announce that we have been granted a licence to open until 6am
“We have worked closely with the authorities over the past few months and they have agreed to allow us to get back to the trading hours we had at the last venue before it was demolished just after Christmas 2014.
“We hope to bring back the events that put Blitz 1 on the map and create a successful music venue in the heart of the city.”
