Firefighters were called out after a leak from a bathroom at a home in Walton-le-Dale.

The callout, which lasted around 20 minutes, saw the crews from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service turn off the stop tap for the homeowner in Sefton Road.

A spokesman from the fire service said: “Firefighters were called to a domestic property after the caller reported water leaking in to the property through the light fittings.
“When firefighters arrived at the scene they found that the water was coming from the bathroom.

“They located the stop tap for the property and isolated the water supply. The occupier was advised to contact a plumber.”
