Popular Manchester based restaurant Solita is coming to Preston
Cheese burger spring rolls, pulled pork sundae, buttermilk fried chicken… Preston city centre is set to get its latest bar and grill restaurant.
Popular Manchester based restaurant Solita has announced it’s coming to Preston.
The bar and grill will be located in Winckley Square, where The Olive Press and Heathcote’s Brasserie used to be.
The restaurant is well known for its ‘Manchester Wheel’ burger at its Northern Quarter and Didsbury locations – a 1kg steak patty burger with 12 cheese slices, 8 bacon rashes and a litre of creamy sauce.

Solita co-owner, Franco Sotgiu, believes the restaurant is the first of its kind to come to the city.
He said: “Preston has been on our radar for while now, there’s a lot of money to be made here.
“There doesn’t seem to be a lot of competition, so we’re very excited about coming to Preston, it’s got a lot of potential.”
The restaurant is looking to open its doors in eight to 10 weeks time, with refurbishment work starting in early May.
