Cheese burger spring rolls, pulled pork sundae, buttermilk fried chickenā¦ Preston city centre is set to get its latest bar and grill restaurant.
AdvertisementPopular Manchester based restaurant Solita has announced it’s coming to Preston.
The bar and grillĀ will be located in Winckley Square,Ā where The Olive Press and Heathcote’s BrasserieĀ used to be.
The restaurant is well known for its āManchester Wheelā burger at its Northern Quarter and Didsbury locationsĀ – a 1kg steak patty burger with 12 cheese slices, 8 bacon rashes and a litre of creamy sauce.
Solita co-owner, Franco Sotgiu, believes the restaurant is the first of its kind to come to the city.
He said: āPreston has been on our radar for while now, thereās a lot of money to be made here.
āThere doesnāt seem to be a lot of competition, so weāre very excited about coming to Preston, itās got a lot of potential.ā
The restaurant is looking to open its doors in eight to 10Ā weeks time, with refurbishment work starting in early May.
