Showcase of veterans work on Ashton Park garden for charity third anniversary

A Preston charity is to celebrate its third birthday by lifting the lid on its work in Ashton Park.

Dig In North West, which helps veterans from across the city, is hosting two events.

The first is a 1980s themed night at Grimsargh Village Hall with a picnic quiz night.

Running from 7.30pm on Friday 6 May you’re invited to bring a picnic supper, drinks of your choice, and revisit a time of Rara skirts, perms and boys in make up.

Teams are to be no more than six people and it is £3 per person.

On Saturday 7 May then Dig In is opening up its Ashton Park garden, to showcase the work of the veterans.

The open day runs from 11am to 3pm.
