The son of a well-known Lancashire hotelier is planning to open a Thai spa and massage parlour in Preston city centre.

Antonio Prada, whose late mother Kathleen ran the Mayfair hotel in Morecambe, is behind the proposal for Lune Street.

A former pawnbrokers and employment bureau is due to get a new lease of life if plans for the conversion are approved.

Both floors of the building, close to the St George’s Shopping Centre, would be converted to form Jing Jai spa.

Plans from GA Associates state eight jobs would be created, with five full-time and three part-time staff taken on.
