Emergency services attending the scene on the flyover
Saturday morning shoppers have been delayed after a crash on the Penwortham flyover.
Heading into Preston city centre there’s lanes closed after Preston Police recovered a black car.
Onlookers said they also saw a white van involved in the incident which took place between 8.50am and 9.15am.
Jane Turner posted on the Preston Past and Present Facebook group: “Pretty serious looking crash on Penwortham flyover this morning. Hope the occupants are ok.”
Delays are still taking place on the Preston road network with Strand Road now backed up.

Katy Jane Nicholson said: “I was at the Golden Way roundabout and it was gridlocked.
“I went in the other lane but it was the same. There were police and cones out near the slip road.
“Strand Road is like it normally would be at 5pm. Traffic everywhere as people can’t get over the flyover.”
The road is still being cleared as of 11.30am on Saturday.
