A takeaway delivery driver has been robbed just yards from Preston Police Station.
The 38-year-old man had just made a delivery at an address in Elizabeth Street, near Preston city centre, when he was set upon.
Around 8pm on Tuesday 26 January the victim was approach from behind by two men.
One of the men demanded money and food from the driver. He was then punched and knocked to the floor.
The driver was forced to hand over the takings from the night before both culprits fled from the scene.
DC 2507 Paul Taylor from Preston CID said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victim who was attacked while he was simply going about his job.
“I would urge anyone with any information at all about this to get in touch with us.”
The first man is described as Afro-Caribbean, around 25 years old, approximately 6ft tall, medium build with stubble. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up and dark bottoms.
The second man is described as white, aged around 25 to 30 years, approximately 6ft – 6ft 2in, stocky build, short hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a dark jacket with blue trainers.
