The Friargate gallery and two of the items now inside it
A gallery celebrating all things Preston is coming to the end of its stay in the city centre.
Preston Pride of Place Project took over an empty shop unit in Friargate to help discover more about the city.
Pictures, thoughts, memorabilia and archive plans of the city are just some of the things brought in by Prestonians for the Caravan Gallery curators to pour over.
Jan Williams, one of the photographers who set up the project, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response from the people of Preston.
“All of the thoughts, ideas, pictures and stuff people have shared with us is being condensed down into a book.”
The Pride of Place photo competition is lining the walls
A closing party is being held on Thursday 31 March from 5pm to 8pm, and everyone is welcome. It is the final chance to see all the Preston stuff on the walls of the shop.
An exhibition of photographs by the Caravan Gallery photographers is continuing at the Museum of Lancashire until Sunday 17 April.
