An extractor fan in a bathroom at a Penwortham home caught fire on Good Friday morning.

Firefighters from Penwortham and Bamber Bridge were called to Aspinall Close, off Kingsfold Drive.

They used breathing apparatus and a horsereel jet to put out the fire from just after 6am.

A portable fan unit was used to extract the smoke and heat.

No one was hurt in the fire.
