Number plates cameras proposed for Lawson Street

A Preston city centre car park is to become controlled by automatic cameras.

Lawson Street car park, which has 50 spaces, is to see new number plate recognition cameras.

ParkingEye Ltd, who run the car park, has applied to install the cameras on six metre high poles at the entrance and exit.

They log the number plate as you enter and exit the car park.

Payment methods for the car park remain the same, and there is no change to the current tariffs for parking at Lawson Street.
