Lancashire Science Festival is preparing to return the city once more.

The three day festival is an award-winning mix of taking science and making it fun for kids and adults alike.

The festival, which takes place around the University of Central Lancashire campus in Preston, is open to the public during Saturday 2 July.

Organisers say the theme for the festival is ‘Goes Beyond’ and school groups are to be booked in for sessions during Thursday 30 June and Friday 1 July.

Last year’s Science Fest saw dinosaurs walking around parts of the city.

In July last year it was awarded the prize of the best event put on by a UK university for the public.

You can register your interest in finding out what’s planned for the festival via the festival website.

All events at the Science festival are free.
