Preston residents have been invited for a look around a new mosque opening in Fulwood.
AdvertisementMasjid-e-Salaam has been under construction in Watling Street Road for a number of years.
The mosque, which is able to hold more than 300 worshippers, has been planned for more than a decade.
Preston’s Muslim Society has invited residents living nearby for a tour of the mosque, and to discover the history of Muslims in the city and learn more about the concept of prayer in Islam.
There will also be a Q&A with mosque leaders.
Two open days are being held, with the first on Saturday 2 April between 11am and 1pm, and the same times on Sunday 3 April.
A dress code has been announced for men of shirt and trousers, for women of ankle length skirt, loose trousers, full blouse/dress and head scarf.
