Naeem Patel has applied to open the Tasty Lane in New Hall Lane.

The 11am to 11pm, seven days a week, cafe would be opposite to the Hesketh Arms pub.

Plans submitted on behalf of Mr Patel, from planning agents SAP Architectural Designs, say the area already has a number of existing cafes and other food outlets.

Two full-time jobs would be created and three part-time jobs for evenings and weekends.

They also state they’ve begun negotiations with a local youth club about taking on a number of apprentices from the surrounding area.
