Patched up pavements are becoming a feature in many parts of Preston

A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing paving stones in Fishwick.

The 34-year-old Preston man was apprehended by officers on Friday night.

It followed a number of reports in Chatsworth Street and other roads in Fishwick having their pavements taken.

Police said they were questioning the man about other stone flag thefts in the Plungington area.
