Carvery fans are having to stall their appetites for a week as a Preston pub gets a revamp.

The Pig and Whistle in Blackpool Road, Lea has closed its doors until Saturday 5 March.

The carvery says it is going to reopen as part of the Sizzling pub company chain.

A statement on Facebook said: “We are now closed until the 5th March for an exciting refurbishment.

“When we reopen we will be a Sizzling Pizza Pub and Carvery.

“We will still be doing breakfast and carvery as normal with the added bonus of burgers and pizzas made freshly in front of you. The menu will be so much bigger and better.”
