New electricity cables being laid in Grimsargh are going to lead to a number of weeks of roadworks.
RCD Utility Services Limited are running the 1.2km HV cables from the Bluebell roundabout along the B6243 Longridge Road to Grimsargh.
The cables are for the new solar farm and another new development in the area.
A first phase of the roadworks started on Saturday 30 January and only takes place during the weekend and overnight. Temporary traffic lights are to be put in place overnight only.
A second stage of the work is planned during the February half-term from Saturday 13 February to Sunday 21 February.
Between 7am to 7pm temporary traffic lights are to be put in place in Longridge Road at the entrance to John Turner and Sons.
