Firefighters have cut a driver free from a car in Fulwood following a collision.
Emergency services raced to the junction of Garstang Road and Watling Street Road after three vehicles collided.
Crews from Preston and Fulwood fire stations were called out by ambulance crews.
One man was trapped inside one of the vehicles, and fire crews used specialist equipment to cut him free before he was taken to Royal Preston Hospital. Another man and his four-year-old daughter were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The collision took place around 12.21pm, near the Shell garage, and Preston Police closed the road for around an hour.
The driver of one of the vehicles, James Hewitt, 38, of Weirden Close, Penwortham has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
He has been bailed and is due to appear before Preston Magistratesā Court on March 17.
Two other collisions also took place in and around Fulwood on Monday morning, with a car and ambulance colliding at the junction of Boys Lane and Black Bull Lane. The road was closed for around 20 minutes.
