A meeting is to be held at St Matthews Mission in Acregate Lane on Saturday 23 January from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

A statement from the friends group said: “We are asking all local residents and stakeholders in the area to come along and help us shape the next year for Fishwick and St Matthews and look back over the past year.”

The Big Local project is seeing £1 million invested in various initiatives across the two areas over the coming years, after local residents voted in a referendum to approve the project.

One of the group’s major projects is to begin maintaining a green space known locally as Paul’s Pad.
