Irvine Welsh is coming to UCLan

Cult author Irvine Welsh will be appearing at the University of Central Lancashire later in the year.

The man behind the cult classic novel Trainspotting, adapted into a critically-acclaimed film, will appear at UCLan on Monday, April 4.

He will be introducing the audience to his latest novel The Blade Artist, which features the return of the notorious Trainspotting character Francis Begbie.

A ticket price of £14.88 covers the cost of a hardback edition of The Blade Artist which Welsh will sign at the event.

Silverwood Events has teamed with UCLan to put on this event in the lecture theatre of Harrington Building.
