More than 5,000 party-goers in Preston have snapped up tickets for a big outdoor DJ set.
AdvertisementBranded as The Purple Party a waiting list has now been opened for those eager to see Craig Charles and MistaJam perform on the Flag Market.
Organised by Preston Business Improvement District the free outdoor concert on Saturday 30 January has proved a big draw.
Mark Whittle, BID Preston manager, said: “Should tickets become available, people on the waiting list will be offered them” said BID manager, Mark Whittle.
“If you are local to Preston, come and enjoy our city’s nightlife and keep your fingers crossed that we can get you in to the event arena.
“Please note we cannot guarantee tickets will become available, but should they, you’ll be the first to know!
“If you have applied for tickets and will not be using your full allocation – for example, you have applied for four tickets and will only be using two – please advise us via the above email address without delay, so we can offer your spare tickets to someone else.
“We were always confident this would prove to be a popular night but, even so, we have been taken aback by the level of interest shown – not only from local people but from those travelling to Preston from other parts of the country.”
Gates for the event open at 8pm and Preston DJ Nick Carter will be warming up the crowds before the two hour sets begin.
To get on the waiting list email purpleparty@lancschamber.co.uk and include your full name, full postal address, telephone number and date of birth.
