Corpus Christi staff receiving the award for Secondary School of the Year at the Preston Sports Awards 2015
Nominations have opened for the chance to recognise those who make sport happen in Preston.
AdvertisementThe annual Preston Sports Awards gives teams and individuals a chance to shine for their sporting achievements.
With 17 categories ranging from team performance of the year to community organisation of the year there’s a way to reward all different age groups and activities.
Launching the nominations, councillor Margaret McManus, Mayor of Preston, said: “Many clubs and events would not be able to continue or even open their doors if it wasn’t for the wonderful people who volunteer their time.
“Commitment and dedication are required by athletes, both amateur and professional, but they are also two essential qualities that apply to volunteers. I would personally like to thank them all for their hard work and continued enthusiasm for sport in Preston.”
Nominations must be made by Monday 8 February via the council website.
The awards night is on Friday 11 March at Preston Guild Hall.
