Delays are back to Junction 31A and Junction 30 on the M6

Delays of more than an hour are holding up motorists on the M6 near Preston.

A lorry hit a barrier in the early hours of Friday morning between Junction 32 and 33 on the northbound carriageway.

Highways England say two lanes are now open on the northbound carriageway after repair teams worked to fix the barrier.

Drivers in Preston are reporting a knock-on effect to Garstang Road heading northbound and other roads in the Fulwood and Broughton area as drivers seek to find alternative routes.

Normal traffic conditions are not expected until after 10am on Friday.
