Police are looking for two men after an elderly woman was targeted in a distraction burglary.
AdvertisementThe incident took place on Monday 11 January sometime in the afternoon when two men knocked at a door in the Hazelmere Road area of Fulwood.
An elderly woman answered and she was tricked by the men who claimed they knew one of her relatives.
PC Tony Stables said: “The victim allowed the two men into the property and one of the men asked for a payment in cash.
“They didn’t specify what the money was for. The lady became concerned and asked the men to leave.
“They did leave but in doing so took a house door key with them.
“Please be aware of males calling at homes of elderly residents, they appear to have targeted this particular house for likely age of the householder.”
The first is described as white and a slim build, while a second man is white, stocky build and around 5’3″.
Anyone with information is asked to call Preston Police on 101.
