Ashton on Ribble house fire sees one person treated for smoke inhalation

Fire crews were called out to a fire at a home in Ashton-on-Ribble.

In the early hours of Saturday morning four fire engines raced to Tulketh Road.

Six firefighters donned breathing apparatus and brought the fire under control at a property near the junction with Egerton Road and Wellington Road.

One person suffered smoke inhalation and was treated by firefighters and paramedics at the scene.
