New Year’s Eve is approaching fast and many have yet to get their plans in place.
Some of you will already have opted out with house parties or quiet nights with loads of food and drink.

A New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance at the Tickled Trout in Samlesbury.
£68 per person will get you a Champagne reception, a seven course meal and live entertainment.
This will be New Year’s Eve celebrated with a little Scottish flair.
Last Night of the Preston Proms
Preston Guild Hall brings rousing Proms favourites and a traditional midnight welcome to 2016.
There will also be indoor fireworks to see you into 2016 in style. Tickets will be between £29.50 and £39.50.
Dice and Donuts
Board games cafe Dice and Donuts are holding a chilled out New Year’s Eve event.
A Facebook event states: “Millie would love a giant game of 2 Rooms & A Boom, but if you’d prefer a nice friendly game of Viticulture, or perhaps try out a full Game of Thrones, we’ll be happy to arrange them all. ”
It’s on from 7pm and Dice and Donuts is at Butler Street. It’s £3 cover charge and if you pay before the night the money goes straight to Ben Ashworth’s bowel cancer fight.
The Great 1920s Ball
Cameo Preston brings you a 1920s themed event that will bring in the new year under a storm of confetti.
Entry before 11pm is just £5 and drinks will take on a prohibition theme for the night.
Guilty Pleasures Clubnight
The Ferret promise you the worst night of the year with their night of guilty pleasures that will include anything from Tatu through to Limp Bizkit.
Entry for this will be free.
Masquerade Ball
Last, but not least, Evoque will host their Masquerade Ball which has tickets available for just £5. You get a complimentary mask with each ticket purchased.
That’s cheaper than the entry cost at most weekends.
