A woman has been rescued from her car after becoming stranded in floodwater.
AdvertisementCrews from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services were called out to Spen Lane, in Treales, near Preston, on Christmas Day.
The woman’s car had stalled in around three foot of water on the road.
The swift water rescue team brought the woman to safety during the incident at around 6.45pm.
At around 6pm crews were called to Woodplumpton Road to pump away flood water from a property.
They’ve also been at The Avenue, Ingol, for a flooding related incident from 9.30pm.
The Environment Agency has issued a number of flood warnings for the River Ribble at Preston, and the Met Office has an amber warning in place for heavy rain throughout Boxing Day.
