Police remain on the scene in Orchard Street on Tuesday
A teenager injured in a stabbing in Preston city centre remains in a ‘serious but stable’ condition in Royal Preston Hospital.
Preston Police are continuing their investigation in Lowthian Street, behind the Black Horse Pub.
Five males, aged between 13 and 25, remain in police custody after being arrested on Monday evening on suspicion of wounding with intent. A sixth person, a 16-year-old boy, has now been arrested, four of the original suspects have been released on bail with police granted additional time to quiz a 17-year-old boy.
A police cordon has been in place at both ends of Lowthian Street since the incident took place around 5pm on Monday.

Police were called to reports of a fight in the street and they found an 18-year-old man with a stab wound to his stomach.
