The artwork of Prestonians is currently hanging on the walls of the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
A celebration of local artistic talent the Harris Open has been running for a number of years.
More than 250 artists are showing off their sculpture, ceramics, photography and textiles.
Councillor Veronica Afrin, executive member for culture and leisure, said: “It really is wonderful to see such inspirational work by so many talented artists all of whom live or work in the Preston area.
“Every year the standard just gets higher and higher and is even more impressive when you consider how much of the work is by young people including our very own Sparks group.. This exhibition is one of the highlights of the Harris’ year and is incredibly well supported by the whole community.”
