Guild Way crash: Penwortham woman and Preston man named as motorists who died

Two motorists from Preston have died in hospital after a collision on the Guild Way on Wednesday.

Wendy Wall, 51, from Penwortham passed away on Thursday following the collision between Mrs Wall’s red Citreon and a silver Vauxhall Vectra.

Preston Police said Nigel Hardman, 48, the driver of the Vectra, died in Royal Preston Hospital on Friday morning.

The Penwortham Bypass was closed for much of Wednesday while emergency services worked to try and cut free the victims from the wreckage.

A file has been prepared for the coroner about the incident.
