Bum shorts are the outfit needed to take part in the 5km route.

As you complete the circuit you’ll see Ben finish the second of his laps around the Guild Wheel.

The 37-year-old has run 18 marathons despite being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer.

Ben said: “There’s a lot of taboo around Bowel cancer symptoms because it involves poo and bowel habits and things like that.

“So wearing the bum shorts helps to break down the taboo and gives people an excuse to chuckle.

“Having 200 people running a 5k circuit in Preston last year (with the bum shorts on) was just hilarious.”

The Cheeky dash takes place on Saturday 19 December and costs £10 for adults and £5 for under16s.
