Olympic medalist and Strictly contestant Anthony Ogogo has been watching his younger sister graduate this week.

The boxer and nifty dancefloor shifter was in the audience at Preston Guild Hall to see Carly, 23, gain her masters degree in fashion and design.

Carly is a popular barmaid at the Dog and Partridge in Friargate where she has worked while studying.

The University of Central Lancashire graduate is following in her brother’s footsteps and also gets into the ring, training at the Larches and Savick Boxing Club.

Anthony spoke about his Strictly experience while he was in town.

He said: “Strictly was brilliant and I learnt a lot about movement.

“It could help me in the ring and everything with the shoulder feels fine now.

“I’m raring to go and get back in the ring. I have only had eight fights since turning pro after London 2012 so still have a lot to learn.

“Hopefully I can go on one of the undercards of a big show and make an impact and build my way up the rankings.”
