A pensioner has been treated for a suspected broken shoulder after a collision in Deepdale.
AdvertisementThe incident took place around 4.55pm on Wednesday in Clifton Crescent close to Deepdale Shopping Park.
A Mercedes A200 turned into the road from Blackpool Road and collided with the 81-year-old man who was crossing the road. The car was driven by a 55-year-old woman from Standish, Wigan.
Preston Police were called and closed off the road while paramedics treated the elderly man.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and treated for a suspected broken shoulder as well as cuts to his face.
Road policing officer Sgt Dave Hurst said: “If you saw this accident or have any information about it at all, please call us on 101 quoting incident reference 1024 of 18 November.”
