Digital photography wars come to Preston as Jessops returns to the city centre.

It will be across from Wilkinson’s cameras.
Peter Jones, the UK entrepreneur, bought the Jessops name when they went into liquidation and has kept the shop in major UK cities and towns.
The shop is to open on Friday on the lower floor of the St George’s Shopping Centre towards Friargate.
Mark Dickaty Store Manager at Jessops in Preston says: “We are so excited to open the doors of our brand new store here in Preston. The store is looking incredibly smart, and we can’t wait for customers to start arriving so that we can showcase our latest products and services.
“We are confident that our team will do a fantastic job to make customers feel that they have received more than they came in for – from advice on cameras through to our range of services and Academy courses.”
It will be the fourth opening in the shopping centre this Autumn, following announcements by Tiger, Patisserie Valerie and The Entertainer.
Andrew Stringer, General Manager at St George’s Shopping Centre says: “Welcoming another popular national brand in to the shopping centre before Christmas not only strengthens our offer to shoppers, but also further demonstrates our ability to attract big name brands to boost the shopping experience at both St George’s and the city as a whole.”
