Fishergate Shopping Centre played host to a fashion show as three models earned themselves eligibility to be represented by Boss Model Management.
Tom Craig, 24, from Fulwood, was the male winner. Charika Channuntapipat, 27, was the female winner. Jessica Amina meanwhile won an online vote.
They also won a £100 shopping spree and will feature in the shopping centre’s spring brochure.
The event was part of a continuing partnership between UCLan and Fishergate Shopping Centre and saw third year Fashion Promotion with Styling students given a brief to create and deliver all aspects of the fashion show.
Castings were held to find their models and they also had to manage the finance and marketing side of the project.
Tom said: “I’m delighted to have been chosen as one of the faces, I wasn’t expecting it given all the competition.
“It was nerve wracking parading in front of such a large crowd but I really enjoyed it!”
Jessica added: “I really loved modelling, and it’s something that I definitely want to do more of.”
Bo said: “My friends invited me to take part in the competition and it’s great to have won! I’d love to have a career in modelling.”
The fashion on display, which ranged from sporty to alpine and James Bond, was a mixture of the stores in the centre and the work of designer and UCLan student Deborah Beardmore which has featured in Vogue.
Amanda Odlin-Bates, senior fashion lecturer at UCLan, said: “Working to a live brief, with the challenges and constraints that comes with it, is invaluable to our students.
“The partnership with Fishergate is providing first-hand, working industry experience and a chance to collaborate with influential people and brands.
“It’s also an opportunity for the Fishergate Shopping Centre to harness the knowledge, ideas and creativity of our talented undergraduates.”
