Two teenagers are being hunted by Preston Police after a man was hit in the head with a piece of wood.

The 23-year-old victim received hospital treatment for a broken jaw and nose.

He was drinking with friends in Dorman Road, Ribbleton, when two boys approached him.

The incident took place around 10.10pm on Wednesday 23 September.

One of the teenagers swung an object at the victim, which is understood to be a bat or piece of wood.

DC 6954 Liz Johnston from Preston CID said: “This was a nasty, unprovoked attack which has left the victim seriously injured and we are determined to find who was responsible.

“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen the offenders in the area at the time to contact us.”

Both men are described as white, aged 15 to 17 years, slim build, one taller than the other and are believed to be from the local area.
