The victim, an 84 year old man, appears to have been shopping in the city centre when he had his wallet containing his bank card stolen. Minutes later a woman is believed to have withdrawn money from the victims account via a cashpoint from a bank on Fishergate.

DS Jerry Sturgess of Preston CID said: “The elderly victim, who is profoundly deaf, was extremely shaken up following the ordeal and has been left very distressed. We are keen to trace the woman pictured and would urge anyone who recognises her or has any information that could assist with our enquiries to come forward.”
